Since 2014, the wineries in these pictures, located in Canelli, have been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. These ones are the Bosca wineries, a company producing wines and sparkling wines with the classic method for six generations, 95% of which are exported worldwide (including to India and Muslim countries, thanks to a top secret process allowing the company to create non-alcoholic “wines”).
The cellars, which span more than 20 km beneath all of Canelli and include four important wineries, have been ravaged by the floods of 1994, an event that saw, for Bosca alone, one million bottles literally swept away by the water. This is a truly extraordinary itinerary, with highly suggestive LED lights, artistic installations and tastings matching Bosca wines to the great Piedmont gastronomic tradition.
